From Meals to Meaningful Connections: Meriwether County Rotary Receives 6,000Grant

The  Rotary Club of Meriwether County is one of seven Rotary Clubs selected to receive a 2026–2027 Rotary District 6900 Competitive Grant!

Our club was awarded funding for:

Building Peace One Meal at a Time – A Rotary Partnership with the Huddle Youth Center

Through this project, the Rotary Club of Meriwether County will partner with the Huddle Youth Center to provide meals and create opportunities for young people to build meaningful relationships

This project is about much more than a meal. It is about creating a safe, welcoming place where young people feel valued, supported, and connected to their community. By sharing meals and building relationships, we hope to encourage understanding, kindness, respect, and peace among the young people we serve.

We are especially honored that our project was selected as part of the 41,500 in Competitive Grant Awards being invested by Rotary District 6900 across seven innovative community projects.

Being selected through a competitive process is a tremendous recognition of our club members' dedication and our commitment to Service Above Self.

A special thank-you to the Huddle Youth Center for partnering with us and helping make this project possible. Together, we are creating opportunities for young people to connect, feel supported, and thrive.

One meal can start a conversation.
One conversation can build a relationship.
One relationship can help build peace.

We are excited to begin this journey and make a lasting difference in our community!
